Greeting our interns
We welcomed three interns in May, including twins MacKenna and Geneka Mahan. Both earned a BS in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University and each expects to receive her Master of Accountancy from the school in December. They played on the university’s field hockey team, where Geneka was also team captain.
Nathan Moshgat joins us from Lebanon Valley College, where he earned a BS in Accounting and expects to receive his Master of Accountancy in May 2020. Nathan is a member of the LVC Men’s soccer team and coaches soccer for children with disabilities.
Accounting4Leaders Externship Program
In May, more than 20 accounting majors from area colleges attended the first session of our new “Accounting4Leaders Externship Program.’’
This three-part externship program gives students a chance to learn about the field first-hand through job shadowing and various discussion panels.
“We pride ourselves on attracting the best and brightest in our field,’’ said Boyer & Ritter principal and CEO Robert J. Murphy, CPA, CVA/ABV. “One way we do that is by inviting talented undergrads to experience what accounting – and Boyer & Ritter — has to offer.’’
