CAMP HILL, PA – Boyer & Ritter is pleased to announce Boyer & Ritter’s leadership transition as Lisa Myers becomes Managing Partner, marking the culmination of a several-years-long transition plan to ensure continuity and enhance the firm’s ability to meet client needs.

Robert J. Murphy, who has led Boyer & Ritter as its CEO for the last 15 years and boosted the firm to national recognition, will continue as a Principal over the next year on a part-time basis, further ensuring a seamless transition.

“Under Bob’s thoughtful and visionary leadership, Boyer & Ritter has grown into a regional leader, well-positioned for continued success,’’ Myers said. “I look forward to working closely with our talented team to continue serving our clients with the highest level of dedication and expertise.”

Myers, who joined the firm in 1989 and became its COO in 2022, is a recognized leader in the accounting field and served as president of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Earlier this year, Forbes named Myers among “America’s Top 200 CPAs.”

As part of Boyer & Ritter’s leadership transition plan to meet future challenges and changes, the firm’s principals chose to disperse the CEO's responsibilities to a management team. Following Myers’ appointment as COO, the firm named Tom Taricani as Chair of the Executive Committee and Matt Wildasin and Jay Goldman as Chief Growth Officers.

Appointing Myers as Managing Partner this year completed the final step of the transition plan.

“It has been an immense honor to lead this incredible team of talented professionals, and together, we achieved remarkable milestones,’’ said Murphy, who joined the firm in 1980. “As I pass the torch to Lisa and our new leadership team, I have full confidence that Boyer & Ritter is poised for even greater achievements under their guidance.”

The new leadership structure aims to continue the focus on industry specialization that Murphy began. Under his tenure, Boyer & Ritter developed practice expertise in verticals like construction, non-profit, governments, manufacturing, dealerships, and more.

Boyer & Ritter’s commitment to deeply understanding its clients' businesses and tailoring its services to meet their unique needs has earned the firm accolades. Earlier this year, Accounting Today Magazine named Boyer & Ritter among the Mid-Atlantic’s top accounting firms for an 8th straight year. Last year, Boyer & Ritter earned a place among Inside Public Accounting's top 300 firms nationally by revenue.

“With a seamless handover and a focus on continuity, we are well-equipped to grow and face future challenges successfully,’’ said Tom Taricani, Chair of the firm’s Executive Committee. “Our dedication to serving our clients with excellence remains at the forefront.”
