Boyer & Ritter is pleased to announce Kimbarley Williams, a principal with the firm and co-leader of the Employee Benefit Plan Services Group, is among 29 women nominated for the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg’s 30th Annual Tribute to Women of Excellence awards.

In January, Boyer & Ritter once again hosted and sponsored a private reception at the YWCA to honor this year’s outstanding class of women who have contributed so much to their community. The official award ceremony will be Thursday, March 21 at the Hershey Lodge. Visit www.ywcahbg.org for more information and to buy tickets for the dinner.

“Each one of you has built a chronicle of accomplishment that towers over this city like this historic YWCA building,’’ firm Principal Lisa A. Myers told the nominees during the reception. “Thank you for the difference you make, and the inspiration you have given me and so many other women.’’

Williams is passionate about the environment and since 2006 as served as treasurer for the Commuter Services of Pennsylvania. Made up of regional transit authorities, chambers and planning organizations, the organization’s mission is reducing traffic congestion by helping commuters find alternatives to driving alone.

She is also a member of the United Way of the Capital Region’s finance committee.

“I’m honored to stand with such a group of strong, talented and motivated women,’’ Williams said. “I believe it is vital for all of us to focus on how we can make our community better, and my focus has been on improving our air quality by working with Commuter Services to reduce the number of vehicles on the road, especially during rush hour.’’

Over the last 29 years, the Tribute to Women of Excellence awards ceremony has honored more than 640 women for their contributions to the workplace and community. The annual event has also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of YWCA programs for women, children, and men.
