Overview
Brian joined the tax department of Boyer & Ritter in June of 2017 after starting his career at KPMG. His primary focus is serving Boyer & Ritter’s closely held business clients in meeting their tax needs. In addition to helping clients comply with the federal tax rules, he focuses on multi-state taxation where he has prepared or reviewed returns in most states. He enjoys finding opportunities to help clients save money. While he has served multiple industry groups throughout his career, he focuses on dealerships, manufacturing, and transportation.
Brian enjoys helping clients by providing a variety of services, some of which are summarized below:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for businesses and individuals
- Perform tax research to ensure compliance with the law
- Prepare calculations and projections to help with tax planning
- Review tax notices and prepare responses to the appropriate taxing authorities
- Review interstate activities to determine nexus with state jurisdiction and evaluate exposure and filing requirements
Personal:
As a Christian, Brian enjoys volunteering with his church and sharing his deep faith with others. He loves spending time with his family and friends, hunting, and playing volleyball, golf, and pickleball. While he generally can find an interest in most sports, he most closely follows Penn State, Arsenal, the Geen Bay Packers, the Baltimore Orioles, and professional and YouTube golf.
