Overview
Stephanie is a highly experienced and accomplished CPA with a remarkable track record of over three decades in public accounting. With her extensive expertise in government, nonprofit, and corporate accounting, auditing, and consulting, coupled with her proficiency in compliance, internal control analysis, and governmental audits, including Single Audits (Uniform Guidance), Stephanie has established herself as a seasoned professional in her field.
Notably, prior to joining Boyer & Ritter in 2023, she held the position of quality control officer and equity shareholder, while also managing the audit department for a well-known western Pennsylvania accounting firm for more than 25 years.
Stephanie provides consulting and audit services to a wide range of nonprofit and governmental clients throughout the region. She plays a key role in supporting Boyer & Ritter’s Government Services, Nonprofit, and Advisory Services groups.
Government Services and Nonprofit
Stephanie provides auditing and consulting as well as internal control analysis and governmental audits including compliance audits performed under the Single Audit Act and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for Federal Awards following Uniform Guidance.
Advisory Services
As a Certified Fraud Examiner, Stephanie leverages her expertise to investigate instances of internal and external fraud, recommend strong anti-fraud controls, conduct sensitive interviews, provide assistance with financial dispute resolution, resolve irregularities discovered during an audit, and offer expert testimony on financial and investigative matters. She is well-versed in fraudulent financial transactions, criminology, ethics, legal elements of fraud, and fraud investigation. Stephanie has played a pivotal role in identifying and reducing opportunities for fraud, and has assisted in the recovery of fraud losses in numerous cases.
Personal
Stephanie is a native of the Johnstown area and primarily works remotely, while routinely visiting the firm's State College and Camp Hill offices. She enjoys traveling, beach vacations, long walks with her husband and two dogs, and spending time with her family, and new grandson.
